Because they are devoted, friendly, and intelligent, Golden Retrievers are the third-most popular breed of dog, following Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. Because of their qualities, they are favored as both hunting and guide dogs.

  • History: The story of the Golden Retriever begins in Scotland in 1865, the same year the American Civil War ended. Dudley Marjoribanks, a Scottish landowner, purchased the only yellow puppy in a litter of black wavy-coated retrievers. The Scotsman wished to breed quality retrievers for the environment of his Scottish homeland, and he joined the yellow dog to a Tweed Water Spaniel and kept the yellow pups that resulted.
  • Scientific Name: Canis familiaris
  • Characteristics: The friendly Golden Retrievers look ready to wag their tails and play. Let them loose as decorations or prizes at a dog-themed party, use them in charms or bracelets to remember favorite family pets, or use them as gifts for other dog lovers.
  • Size: These paperclip-length mini Golden Retrievers are about an inch long each.

    Jacob ★★★★★

I love how these tiny Goldens capture the breed's friendly expression perfectly—each little figurine has a distinct pose, and the variety keeps me hunting through the box. They’re surprisingly detailed for their size, and the 192 pieces feel like hours of enjoyment.

    Lily D. ★★★★★

I spread a handful of these little goldens across my desk and they instantly brighten up the space—the detail on each tiny face is surprisingly sharp for such small pieces.

    Lucy ★★★★★

The 192 pieces are perfect for spreading around my desk and bookshelf—each one has that classic golden retriever pose that actually looks like the breed. My coworker spotted them and asked where I got the “little dog army”, which made my day.
