The long-necked Brachiosaurus and armored Stegosaurus appear to have little in common, but both lived in North American during the Jurassic period, their geologic timelines overlapping. Also, both were herbivores capable of ignoring all but the largest predators.

  • History: Stegosaurus survived an impossibly long time, with a fossil record extending from 200 million to 146 million years ago. That makes the 5 million year timespan of Brachiosaurus seem brief in contrast. They did co-exist however, as Brachiosaurus fossils have been found in rocks dating between 155 million and 150 million years.
  • Scientific Name:Brachiosaurus altithorax and Stegosaurus stenops
  • Characteristics: The Jurassic world comes to life with these realistic mini figures. Use them in a dinosaur diorama or for a dinosaur-inspired party.
  • Size: The Stegosaurus mini figure is about the size of a grape, while Brachiosaurus is slightly longer.

    Kevin ★★★★★

The packaging is compact and satisfying to open, and having both the long-necked brachiosaurus and the armored stegosaurus in one set makes for a nice prehistoric pairing. Each piece clicks together cleanly, and the 192 count feels like a solid afternoon build.

    Alexander K. ★★★★★

I love that these two Jurassic giants come in the same set—my son can finally pit his favorite armored dino against the long-necked one. The 192 pieces kept him busy for an entire rainy afternoon, and the pieces click together firmly without being too hard for small hands.

    Leo S. ★★★★★

My six-year-old is obsessed with dinosaurs, so this set was an instant hit. The 192 pieces took her a good while to finish, and I loved that both the Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus are from the same Jurassic period, which made for a fun little history lesson.
