American Alligators range from Texas to Florida, and as far north as Oklahoma in the southern United States. Fully grown, an adult male Alligator can be 15 feet long and weight 1000 pounds. The Alligator is also the mascot of Safari Ltd!

  • History: Most people associate Alligators with North American swamps and Crocodiles with the Nile River. While Alligators do live throughout the wetlands of the southeastern United States, there is also a species that lives in China. And while Crocs do still swim the upper Nile, some species also live in Florida, central America, India, southeast Asia, and of course, Australia.
  • Scientific Name: Alligator mississippiensis

The little alligator’s snout and tail ridges are so crisp you’d think they were hand-carved, and the 192-count box gives you plenty to spread around for party favors. My kids spent an hour sorting them by size and pretending they were swimming down the Mississippi.

I was surprised by how detailed the scales are on these tiny alligators — they actually look like mini versions of the real thing. Perfect for adding a bit of swampy charm to a desk or shelf.

    Charlotte Z. ★★★★★

Bought these as a fun gift and the 192-count box is generous for the price. I love that the little alligators are detailed enough to show off their natural range from Texas to Florida, even if they’re not 15 feet long. The packaging kept them all intact and they’re a hit with my nephew.
