Unlike many other mammals, newborn zebras are fairly self-sufficient when they’re born, and can stand and walk on their own. Did you know it was once thought that zebras were white with black stripes, but recent study revealed they are actually black with white stripes?

  • History: Dissimilar from many other mammal species, adult male zebras actually play an important part in childcare, as stallions will fiercely protect their infants from threatening predators. Oddly, this behavior is only seen in plains and mountain zebras, as Grevy’s Zebra herds often disband a few months after coming together to mate.
  • Scientific Name: Equus quagga
  • Characteristics: Although it's hard to tell at a glance, every zebra's stripes are unique to that individual, making this little baby a one of a kind foal! Meticulously designed and painted for precise scientific accuracy, this zebra foal toy brings even the most exotic parts of nature to your home in stunning detail.
  • Size: 3.5 inches long and 2.8 inches tall, this zebra foal toy figurine is a bit bigger than a deck of cards on its side.
  • The Zebra Foal is part of the Wild Safari® Wildlife collection.
  • All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free.

    Richard E. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised how sturdy this little foal is—my toddler has dropped it several times without any damage. The legs are posable so it can stand on its own, which matches the real zebra fact they included.

    Chloe E. ★★★★★

My kids were fascinated by the detail on the striping and the fact that it’s posed mid-walk, matching how newborn zebras find their feet right away. It’s a sturdy little figure that’s held up well to being carried around the house all week.

    Ellie L. ★★★★★

The little hooves are surprisingly sturdy and the black-and-white stripe pattern matches what I read about real zebra foals. It’s a nice size for small hands to carry around, and the fact that it stands on its own makes playtime more fun.
