Smaller but strikingly similar to their close relative the gray wolf, coyotes are a canine that densely inhabit North and Central America. Coyotes communicate with one another through howls, and this little pup is most likely calling for its mother with an itty-bitty bellow!

  • History: A prominent figure in American and Native American folklore, coyotes are often depicted as clever tricksters in the same vein as foxes, despite the many differences between the two. However, current attitudes towards the coyote have become more negative as they've begun to densely inhabit and dwell in urban and suburban areas in search of food.
  • Scientific Name: Canis latrans
  • Characteristics: Masterfully painted to ensure immaculate and true-to-life realism, this coyote pup toy can serve many purposes, including educational, play, décor, and more. We know you want to cuddle with this cute coyote, but be careful – adult coyotes will defend their pups ferociously!
  • Size: 2.5 inches long and 2.2 inches tall, both dimensions of this coyote pup toy model are about the same size as the length of a ball point pen cap.
  • The Coyote Pup is part of the Wild Safari® North American Wildlife collection

    Claire L. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how detailed the sculpting is, especially the way the snout and ears match real coyote proportions. It stands nicely on my desk and looks great next to my other wildlife figures.

    Elizabeth ★★★★★

The paintwork on the fur really captures that scrappy, wild look coyotes have, and the size fits perfectly on my desk without taking over. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and every time I glance over, it feels like a tiny piece of the prairie is right there.

    Amelia U. ★★★★★

The howling pose is so lifelike that it actually makes me want to hear what a real coyote sounds like every time I glance over. It's got that wild, alert stance that matches the description of them being out in North and Central America, and the detail on the fur is surprisingly sharp for the price.
