Category: Incredible Creatures

The Common Stingray likes to bury itself on the ocean floor, and uses the stinger on its tail to protect itself if anyone gets to close.

  • Scientific Name: Genus Dasyatis
  • Characteristics: This Stingray figure is highly detailed and scientifically accurate, from the stinger on its tail to the spiracles behind its eyes. The fins of its flattened, disc-shaped body are undulating to simulate the movement of the Stingray as it swims through the water.
  • Size and Color:This figure measures 7 inches to the tip of its tail, and is 4 inches wide. It’s slightly smaller than a standard pair of scissors. Its coloration is brown above with mottled markings to help it blend in with the sandy seabed, and white on its underside.
  • The Sting Ray is part of the Incredible Creatures® collection.
  • All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free.

The stinger on its tail is such a cool detail, and my son loves how it looks like it’s ready to defend itself. It’s got a nice weight to it, feels sturdy enough for rough play.

    Olivia O. ★★★★★

My kids are obsessed with ocean animals, so this stingray was a perfect add to their collection. The stinger on the tail is nicely sculpted and feels sturdy, not flimsy, which is great for all the play it gets. It's also cool that it's posed like it's burying itself, just like the real thing.

    Owen E. ★★★★★

The tail stinger is surprisingly detailed, and my son immediately started pretending the ray was hiding under the couch like it buries in the ocean floor. It's got that nice soft, rubbery feel that makes it easy for little hands to grip.
