At Emerson Elementary School, today is Career Day, when all of the pupils are required to select a career path. Not an issue. Bean and Ivy already know the answer to it. Until they encountered Herman the Treasure Hunter, that is, at least, what they believed. All second graders are now searching for and discovering treasure. Well, everyone but Bean and Ivy. They must quickly dig out some riches and get their shovels!

Andrew K. ★★★★★

Career Day turns into a hilariously messy plot, and my kid read the whole thing in one sitting without me having to nag once. Herman’s twist actually surprised her, which is rare for a series we’ve read a dozen times.

Lily ★★★★★

My daughter couldn't stop laughing at how Bean and Ivy try to handle Career Day. The paperback binding is sturdy enough to survive being tossed in her backpack and read three times already.

Matthew ★★★★★

My daughter loved how the Career Day dilemma hooked her from the first page, and the dialogue between Ivy and Bean felt so real. The book arrived quickly and is holding up well despite my kid already reading it twice.
