Adolescent Male Lion Toy Figure
Category: Wild Wildlife
One of the most distinguishing traits of the male lion is its mane, composed of thicker, longer, darker brown fur than what's found on the rest of its body. Most male lions develop manes, and some females do as well. Manes begin to develop around one year of age, and are usually completely filled in by the time a lion reaches four years old. Adolescent male lions will show a developing mane that can have a "mohawk"-like look to it.
Scientific Name: Panthera leo
Characteristics: This detailed and accurate figurine showcases a growing male lion with its mane beginning to develop. It makes an excellent companion piece to Safari Ltd's range of Wild Safari Wildlife lion figures, which includes the adult male lion, lion cub and lioness.
Size: This Adolescent Male Lion toy figurine measures 6" long to the tip of its tail and 2.5" tall to the point of its growing mane.
