SolarFlower Golden Sunrise

My nephew and I put this together in an afternoon, and the moment we set it in direct sunlight, the petals actually started rotating on their own. It's a clever way to teach about renewable energy without feeling like a boring science lesson. He's already asking to build another one.

The way this little sunflower tracks the sun is honestly mesmerizing—my daughter spent the whole afternoon watching the petals shift as the light moved. Assembly took us maybe 90 minutes with a few giggles over the tiny gears, and it's been spinning on our windowsill every sunny day since.

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the solar panel gets the petals spinning even on a partly cloudy day, and it was a fun way to teach my kid about renewable energy without any batteries.
