Glo Pals light up cubes activate in water, making bath time fun and sensory-friendly. Learn how they work, how to use them, and what to watch for.
Quick answer
Glo Pals light up cubes are waterproof, LED-lit toys that activate when placed in water, making bath time more engaging for children, especially those who need sensory stimulation.
Why Glo Pals work well for bath time
Glo Pals were inspired by a child with autism whose mother used similar light-up technology to help him overcome his fear of water. The cubes are designed to engage children in sensory exercises and brighten bath time. They illuminate when exposed to water, providing a visual focal point that can calm or entertain.
Each cube is sealed and battery-powered, so there's no risk of shock or water damage. The lights last for several hours of cumulative use, and the cubes float, making them easy to grab and play with.
How to use Glo Pals light up cubes
- Activate the cubes: Simply drop the Glo Pals cubes into water. They light up automatically when submerged. No buttons or switches needed. Common mistake: Trying to turn them on outside water – they only activate when wet.
- Use during bath time: Place the cubes in the tub before or during the bath. They float, so you can arrange them in patterns or let your child scoop them up. Common mistake: Leaving them in the water after the bath – they should be removed to preserve battery life.
- Dry and store properly: After use, remove the cubes from the water, shake off excess moisture, and let them air dry completely before storing. Common mistake: Storing them while still wet, which can lead to mold or battery corrosion over time. Check the battery compartment seal occasionally to ensure it stays dry.
