The Thames & Kosmos Science Advent Calendar

The kids fight over whose turn it is each morning, and yesterday's baking soda volcano was a huge hit. That 24-day countdown idea is genius, every door is a surprise that actually teaches something new.

My 8-year-old has been eagerly checking the calendar each morning, and the mini chemistry set on day 3 was a real hit. It’s a fun way to sneak in some learning while still feeling like a holiday treat.

We're on day 12 and my kids have already built a working compass and grown some crystals. Each experiment takes about 15 minutes and uses mostly common household items we already had. It's been a fantastic way to add some real science to our holiday countdown.
