I wasn't sure how well the "laughing hyena" pose would come across, but the open mouth and detailed face really capture their unique vocalization. It stands solidly on its own, making for a nice display piece on my desk.

The fur texture is surprisingly detailed for a toy this size, and the molded spots look just like a real hyena's coat. My daughter loves how the articulated legs let her pose it stalking through her safari playset.

My kid couldn't stop laughing at the poseable legs, and the painted face really captures that distinctive hyena grin. It's sturdy enough for rough play and looks great on the shelf.
