The letter tiles are just the right size for small hands, and the magnets stay connected well enough to build little towers between spelling attempts. My daughter turned her name into a game before I could even get the box open.

My 4-year-old actually asks to play with these instead of watching TV, which says a lot. The letter tiles are clear enough that she traces them with her finger while sounding things out. Only wish there were more duplicates of common letters, but it's become our go-to quiet time activity.

The letter tiles snap onto the plain squares just as firmly as the regular ones, so my 3-year-old can spell her name without the whole thing falling apart. We keep them in the car for restaurant waits and she's learned most of her uppercase letters from them.
