مرحباً، وداعاً

Picked this up for my daughter who's dreading her own grandma visits this summer, and she actually laughed out loud at the first chapter. The way Hailey's annoyed phone-checking is described feels so real.

My niece is fourteen and I immediately thought of her while reading about Hailey's summer of forced grandma visits. The way the conflict with her parents is set up feels painfully accurate to that age, and I finished it in one sitting because the pacing just pulls you along.

Hailey’s voice feels so real for a 15-year-old, and the way her annoyance with grandma slowly turns into something warmer kept me flipping pages. The across-town setup made the conflict feel close and personal, not far-fetched. Finished it in one afternoon.
